    The 8-second test. Can a cold visitor say what you sell in eight seconds? Read your H1 + subhead out loud to a friend who doesn't know your company. If they can't repeat back what you do, the test fails.
  2. 02
    One primary CTA. Is there one button above the fold that's clearly more important than every other clickable thing on the page? Two equal CTAs cannibalize each other. Three is a crime.
  3. 03
    Buzzword count. Does your hero copy avoid all of these: synergistic, leverage, optimize, data-driven, best-in-class, holistic, frictionless? Operators stopped reading these in 2019. If you have two or more, rewrite.
  4. 04
    Named social proof. Do you show first-person quotes with names + photos, not just a logo grid? Logos are 2014. Quotes are evidence. Pick the one with evidence.
  5. 05
    Pricing visible. Can a visitor see directional pricing on your homepage (a starting price, a tier, anything) without clicking? Hidden pricing means you're afraid of the conversation. Operators read that and bail.
  6. 06
    Specificity over slogan. Does your hero name the page, the lever, or the action you take — instead of promising a feeling? "Disrupt your industry" is a slogan. "Rewrite your hero in 14 days" is a verdict.
  7. 07
    Mobile primary CTA. Open your site on your phone. Is the primary CTA visible without scrolling and at least 44px tall? Most B2B sites stack the hero on mobile but leave the CTA below the fold. Bug.
  8. 08
    No typos. No code-switch. Is every visible string on the homepage spelled correctly and in one language (or properly switched)? Spelling errors and accidental untranslated strings read as "this team doesn't catch its own details." Founder buyers notice.
  9. 09
    One email, one domain. Is the contact email the same in your header, footer, and email signature, and does it match your domain? If `you@thecompany.com` and `you@thecompany.io` both appear on the same page, which one is real? Operators read this as risk.
  10. 10
    The forward test. Would you forward your own homepage to a peer with the caption "read this"? If the answer is no, you've built a billboard. Operators don't forward billboards.
